Sperm Freezing Solution

Purpose

For the cryopreservation of spermatozoa.

Key compositions

Contains human serum albumin and gentamicin sulfate. Glycerol and trehalose as the cryoprotective agents.

Study has shown that¹ adding trehalose to sperm freezing medium enhances sperm vitality after recovery. Moreover, trehalose as a protective agent in sperm cryopreservation significantly reduces the oxidative damage to DNA fragments and membrane lipids in the revived spermatozoa compared to other disaccharides.

Application

Medium for use after warming up till the room temperature.
